It all began with a trio of friends who enjoyed starting weekend mornings with a delicious breakfast in a cozy room. The three of us couldn't resist the temptation of opening up our own place to feed ourselves in the home cooked way we had come to love. We expanded our home brewed approach towards breakfast into our lunch menu with sandwiches that are more artisan than the assembly line lunches we had found elsewhere. Now, we want you to come join us!!!

Welcome to the Blue Dog Kitchen – made-to-order and made from scratch, home cooked breakfasts and classic deli sandwiches in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere in the heart of the University District and now also in Ballard. Award-winning pancakes, Italian-style egg dishes, custom breakfast sandwiches, mile-high reubens, savory roast beef and cheddar melts, spicy cajun turkey on ciabatta, Anna's soups made with care, and so much more are on the menu every day.

We also make a mean Café D’arte espresso and refreshing fruit smoothies. If you want a fresh squeezed lemonade in the hot summer months, come and see us. We make it when you order it, so let us know if you want it sweet or sour. If you want something to chase the Seattle chill from your bones, try one of our many unique and homemade flavors of chai.
